Metal & Dust

Metal & Dust

Jack from Metal & Dust has the handshake of a vice. An old, mucky vice. He needed a crisp, clean identity to counterbalance his hands & showcase the quality of his beautiful bespoke furniture.

— Identity

We were experimenting with deconstructing the M&D letters, and found that the two fit together nicely to make an abstract fox icon, a nice nod back to how Jack finds his materials, scavenging though junk yards & old barns.

When it came to the final execution, we wanted it to scream quality. The brand icon lends itself to being burnt, embossed, moulded and stamped into any surface.

— Photography

To juxtapose the clean identity, we needed some gritty photography. Alexandra Wallace captured some great shots of Jack in his workshop doing what he does best - getting his hands dirty.
